UN HOVAWART nommé "DICK"

Je vous souhaite la bienvenue à ces pages qui vous présentent DICK (Hoffen-Hills Hauswart de Noir), mon Hovawart, et sa "femme" TEKLA (Hekla des Links), sans oublier quelques amis Hovawart et à peu près tous les chiots descendants de Dick.

Je vous invite également à visiter les pages de IULIA, MURPHY et LANCELOT, tous trois des enfants de Dick qui se sont spécialement distingués dans tel ou tel domaine.

Mais qu’est ce un Hovawart? Je vous dirai d'emblée que c’est un chien formidable , très beau, du type "chien de montagne." Les illustrations dans ces pages vous en diront plus que les mots.

Il est plutôt assez grand : 63au 70 cm au garrot et la femelle de 58 au 65cm. C’est un chien " de famille ",mais qui aime travailler : pistage,, recherche humanitaire, agility, RCI ou obéissance. Intéressant, non? Renseignez-vous alors auprès du secrétaire du Club ! (page Liens et adresses). Il vous donnera bien des informations sur cette race. I welcome you

to this site which will acquaint you with my dogs, the male Hovawart, DICK (Hoffen-Hills Hauswart de Noir) and the female TEKLA, (Hekla des Links), some of their friends and many, many of their puppies.

The pictures show them at different ages. Some of the pups have own sites, for instance MURPHY, LANCELOT and IULIA. Iulia is a seeing-eye dog and her owner has given a very good explanation of how these dogs must behave.

Otherwise, how are the Hovawarts? Lets only say that they are marvelous and beautiful dogs, quite big (63-70 cm for the male and 58-65 cm for the female) and that they are very good working dogs (tracking and rescue especially) but also good compagnion dogs.
